As a result of this experience and knowledge, CPS provides a high quality medication review and educational service to the aged care sector.

Shane Jackson

Shane Jackson has a broad experience in a number of aspects of pharmacy. He operates a rural community pharmacy in Nubeena on the Tasman Peninsula and has done since October 2004. He has a background in research and academia also, with a doctorate in pharmacy having been awarded in 2004. He is an accredited pharmacist and is a Director of the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia and the Australian Association of Consultant Pharmacy. He is a pharmacist that is committed to providing pharmacy services that are of the best quality and to those people and communities that truly need them. He has a track record of providing viable pharmacy services in a number of settings; rural Tasmania, aged care facilities and to community based clients on referral from GPs.

Greg has worked as an academic, teaching pharmacy, medical, nursing and paramedicine students, and practising pharmacist for over 30 years. His research and practice focus is on medication safety and improving the use of medicines. He has led many state and national projects directed at improving patient outcomes in community, hospital and aged care sectors. He has more than 600 published papers. Greg was Australian Pharmacist of the Year, 2007.

Stephen Morehead

Stephen is an accredited pharmacist with over a decade of experience in clinical work and education – including private hospital, community pharmacy, and medication reviews in both the community and aged care. He has also been involved with the National Prescribing Service, nurse education, and clinical teaching at the University of Tasmania.

Stewart Mearns

Stewart has a background in both community pharmacy management and hospital-based clinical pharmacy. He is accredited to conduct medication reviews and is one of the main providers of these services in the aged care facilities and community across North-West Tasmania. He provides clinical education in the aged care sector and is a clinical consultant of Medscope, a leading medication management software provider.

Stewart Mearns
